This session focus on developing an organized, effective strategy for IEP advocacy by starting at square one: gathering data, describing in detail how the child is currently doing in school, and centering the IEP meeting on a discussion of the Present Levels of Academic and Functional Performance section of the child’s IEP.

This session will explore the differences between procedural and substantive rights under IDEA. It will go on to explain what is necessary to show a denial of FAPE, which is necessary to obtain relief under IDEA.
