Beginner Special Education Advocate Training (BSEAT) TM
COPAA is proud to offer BSEAT TM, an online, ten-session course for those beginning their journey to become a non-attorney special education advocate. There is no educational or experiential prerequisite required to take this course. Special Education Advocate Training (SEAT) TM 2.0
COPAA is proud to offer SEAT TM 2.0 an online, 27-session course with a 40-hour practicum. It is a nationally developed and recognized course that provides participants with intermediate-level training to deepen the knowledge and skills of practicing non-attorney special education advocates. This course is designed for individuals with at least two years of experience advocating for children other than their own. The advocacy experience can be paid or unpaid.  The purpose of this course is to help grow the field of effective and knowledgeable non-attorney special education advocates. The Business of Special Education Advocacy
The Business of Special Education Advocacy is a fully online, 5-session class for advocates starting a nonprofit or for-profit advocacy business. The focus is on the practical issues of business formation and operation; this class does not teach how to advocate. This course is designed for trained non-attorney special education advocates who are ready to create a formal business plan or refine their existing business model.  Click here to learn more about the Business of Special Education Advocacy class.

Attorney Class: Special Education Law & Related Services Online Training for Attorneys
COPAA is pleased to offer a 12-session online course for attorneys new to special education law or current law students. The training reviews legislated and litigated requirements for special education and related services for students who have disabilities.  It is intended as an introductory skill-building course for attorneys new to the practice of special education law. Click here to learn more about the attorney class.

Change Maker Academy
COPAA is proud to conduct the State & Local Change Makers Academy to help grow the field of effective and knowledgeable systems change advocates.
